About Us
​Main Street Dental was formed in 2020 when Dr. Downing purchased and combined two dental practices in Marshalltown - Hintz Family Dentistry Marshalltown and Dr. John Collison’s office at 210 W Main Street. Dr. Downing started working for Dr. Jerad Hintz at the Ankeny and Des Moines offices of Hintz Family Dentistry in 2015. In 2016, he became the sole dentist at Main Street Dental Marshalltown. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Dr. Collison approached Dr. Downing about purchasing his practice. After consultation with Dr. Hintz, Dr. Downing and his wife made the decision to purchase and combine both practices and move into Dr. Collison’s office.
